Luzerne County Head Start is inviting businesses and educational institutions to take part in its Roadmap for Progress event on Friday, Oct. 9. 

Through Roadmap for Progress, Head Start is giving its current and past parents the chance to explore career and educational advancement opportunities in one place. Community partners are encouraged to share information on job openings, higher education programs and related resources that are available locally. 

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of the agency’s Lynn Evans Biga Center, 23 Beekman St., Wilkes-Barre. Setup will begin at 9:30 a.m. Those participating are asked to bring their own tables, chairs and tents.
