Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. (LCHS) is an income-based early childhood education program that provides comprehensive services to pregnant women, children birth to age five, and their families in Luzerne and Wyoming Counties.

From early math and reading skills to confidence and resilience, our no-cost preschool program helps children ages 3-5 build the abilities they need to be successful in school and in life. Our Early Head Start home visiting program is available to qualified pregnant women and children birth to age 3.

LCHS also offers a number of job training and career development opportunities to staff and focuses on the health and well-being of our employees through our employee wellness program.
