PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Qualifications

  • AAS degree in Business, Office Technology or related flied
  • Two years’ experience related to clerical field including typing, computer training and general office support
  • Thorough working knowledge of computers and word processing systems
  • Bilingual Language abilities a plus – English/Spanish
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • High degree of professionalism

Responsibilities/Duties

To provide administrative support to the Front Office and Early Head Start Teams at the main office location of Luzerne County Head Start (LCHS). Provide accurate information reflecting knowledge of the Head Start Program, policies and practices, to all callers and visitors. Assist with daily office procedures, word processing, administrative and business duties as directed.

Conditions of Employment 
LCHS requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal regulations. Proof of Degree/Certification and Experience Required to meet the Qualifications for position.

2 Positions available: 1 Front Office/First person contact at 23 Beekman Street, Wilkes-Barre; 2 – Floater position with Front Office responsbilities
Full Time, 12-months/Full Year
Rate of Pay: $15.89/hr
Bilingual Adjustment in pay of 5% for English/Spanish language abilities
