REGIONAL NURSE

Qualifications

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Current Nursing License
  • RN Preferred
  • Experience in Community Health preferred
  • Bilingual Language abilities a plus – English/Spanish

Responsibilities/Duties

To implement health and safety practices which conform to Head Start Program Performance Standard: Monitor each child’s health by performing periodic health checks, screenings and observation; assist in helping families obtain medical and dental services, with referrals, follow-up and treatments; teach, practice and implement health and safety practices to children, staff and families

Requirements that must be satisfied prior to hire
Proof of Degree/Certification and Experience Required to meet the qualifications for position
Background Clearances:
(1) FBI Fingerprints; PA DHS Registration; Service Code 1KG756
(2) Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check
(3) Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
Successful completion of Pre-Employment Physical Examination which includes a Tuberculosis screening (arrangements made upon conditional offer of employment)
Position will require record check approval of driving record by LCHS Insurance Provider, as this position is considered a designated position requiring driving as an essential job function

Location, Hours & Salary
Three (3) Positions available at:
1)Beekman Street Center – 23 Beekman Street, Wilkes-Barre
2)Nanticoke Area Centers – 1010 S. Hanover St and LCCC Center
3)Hazleton Area Centers – 663 Carson St and Vine West Center

Full Time, 10-months; works a school schedule Aug-June, 37.5 hrs/wk
Salary/Hourly: $18.50, eligible for overtime pay
Bilingual Adjustment in pay of 5% for English/Spanish language abilities
