KITCHEN MANAGER

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two Years’ Experience in Food Service Preparation in an institutional setting
  • Supervisory Experience

Responsibilities/Duties

Responsible for the managing, supervising and maintaining Central Kitchen operations daily including food preparation, ordering, inventory, allergy accommodations and supervision of all kitchen staff. Day-to-day responsibilities includin complying with safety and cleaning standards, cost control, compliance of Child and Adult Care Food Preogram standards, and health department stanards. Motivate, guide and direct the Central Kitchen staff in a manner that supports the philosophy and the policies of Luzerne County Head Start, Inc.

$500 Sign-On Bonus:
$250 payout will be paid upon successful completion of the first 90 days; $250 payout after 1 year of service

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTLuzerne County Head Start, Inc. requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) and to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 will be required unless exempted by federal, state or local laws

Full Time/Full Year (12-months); 37.5 hrs/wk
Salary (Hourly): $17.00; Additional pay increase with advanced education (degree)
