FOOD SERVICE WORKER

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Two (2) Years’ Experience in Food Service Preparation in an institutional setting
  • Valid Driver’s License required

Responsibilities/Duties

Assist in preparing nutritious and attractive meals according to a pre-arranged menu which meets the nutritional needs of each child as specified by the Child and Adult Care Food Program and Head Start guidelines. Responsible for delivery of prepared meals to local Head Start sites from a centralized kitchen and operating, sanitizing and maintaining central kitchen equipment. CLICK HERE FOR JOB DESCRIPTION

$500 Sign-On Bonus: $250 payout will be paid upon successful completion of the first 90 days;

$250 payout after 1 year of service

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT 
Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) and to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 will be required unless exempted by federal, state or local laws
Position will require record check approval of driving record by LCHS Insurance Provider, as this position is considered a designated position requiring driving as an essential job function

Location, Hours & Salary
BEEKMAN STREET CENTER, 23 Beekman Street, Wilkes-Barre – 2 Positions available
Full Time/10-months; works a school schedule Aug-June, 37.5 hrs/wk
Salary/hourly: $13.20/hr, Eligible for overtime pay
