Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with Young Children preferred
  • Bilingual Language abilities, English/Spanish, a plus

Responsibilities/Duties

To work as a part of a team to assist in carrying out educational activities in the classroom setting. This position works with the lead Teacher and Associate Teacher as a 3rd person support in the classroom.
Implement educational activities by providing and maintaining an atmosphere in the State-Funded classroom that promotes school readiness and developmentally appropriate practices for 3 and 4-year old children. CLICK HERE FOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Luzerne County Head Start requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal regulations. Proof of education required to meet the qualifications for position.

Location, Hours & Salary *SEE Head Start Center locations at /https://lcheadstart.org/locations/
Full Time, school year positions – 37.5 hrs/wk available at various centers in Luzerne County area
Working a school schedule August-June annually, with an established summer break between school years
Rate of Pay: $14.31/hr.
For those who possess Bilingual Abilities (Eng/Spanish) – 5% additional pay
