ASSOCIATE TEACHER

Qualifications

  • AAS, Early Childhood Education, CDA credential; or HS Diploma with obtaining a CDA or AA degree within 2 years of hire or placement
  • Bilingual Language abilities, English/Spanish, a plus

Responsbilities/Duties

Implement educational activities by providing and maintaining an atmosphere in the classroom that promotes school readiness and developmentally appropriate practices for 3 and 4-year old children. Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3). Proof of education required to meet the qualifications for position.

Location, Hours & Salary *SEE Head Start Center locations at /https://lcheadstart.org/locations/
FULL TIME, 37.5 hrs/wk- positions available at various centers with Luzerne County including:

  • Beekman St/WB
  • Edwardsville
  • Plains

Rate of Pay – Based on Education
AA Degree – $18.02/hr
CDA – $16.43/hr
HS Diploma/GED – $15.90/hr
For those who possess Bilingual Abilities (Eng/Spanish) – 5% additional pay

$750 Sign-On Bonus

WORK SCHEDULE –
August thru June, with an established summer break in employment between school years
