RECRUITER – Children/Families

Qualifications

  • AAS Degree in Human Services or Related Discipline
  • Previous experience in community advocacy or social services preferred
  • Bilingual Language Abilities a plus, English/Spanish

Responsibilities/Duties

Assist with the eligibility determination and recruitment of children and families into the Head Start Program. To actively inform all families with eligible children within the Luz/Wyo County recruitment area of the availability of program services, and encourage and assist them in applying for admission to the program. The Recruiter will actively locate and recruit children with disabilities and other vulnerable children, including homeless children and children in foster care.

Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal regulations. Proof of Degree/Certification and Experience Required to meet the Qualifications for position.

Hours & Salary
Position is Full Time, 37.5 hrs/wk
Starting Rate of Pay: $18.49/hr
For those who possess Bilingual Abilities (Eng/Spanish) – 5% additional pay
