ASSISTANT CENTER MANAGER

Qualifications

  • AS Degree Early Childhood Education/Child Development
  • Three (3) Years’ Experience in childcare setting with related management and supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities/Duties

Under the supervision of the Center Manager, the individual in this position will assist the Center Manager with daily operations for the smooth operations at the Beekman Street Center – to motivate, guide and direct the Head Start staff at the center level in a manner that supports the philosophy and the policies of Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. Must meet requirements per Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state and or agency policies and procedures. This position has direct supervision responsibilities of the staffing positions: Family Worker, Regional Nurse, Health Assistant and Kitchen Manager.

Luzere County Head Start, Inc. requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal laws; Proof of Degree/Certification required to meet the qualifications for position.

Full Time/12-month position for the Beekman Street Center – 23 Beekman Street, Wilkes-Barre
Exempt/Salaried position at 37.5 hrs/wk
Base Salary: $42,374/year, additional pay/higher salary for BS degree
For those who possess Bilingual Abilities (Eng/Spanish) – 5% additional pay
